ABOUT THE SOCIAL ROOM

The Social Room has been part of downtown Columbia’s nightlife for nearly 11 years. Originally opened as a hair salon and live music venue, the space quickly evolved—embracing DJs, themed dance parties, and the late-night energy it’s known for today. In 2023, The Social Room entered a new chapter with new ownership, honoring its roots while leaning fully into its future.

Nestled at 220 N 8th Street in the heart of Columbia, Missouri, The Social Room is an intimate yet lively destination where great food, strong drinks, and good music come together. Since 2023, Mom has run the kitchen, serving up fresh, late-night comfort food that’s become a staple of the experience. From smash burgers and loaded favorites to the fan-favorite BBQ pork pepper jack mac & cheese, every dish is made with care and meant to be enjoyed long after the sun goes down.
